Since her beginnings, performer and choreographer Marta Izquierdo Muñoz has developed creations based on ambiguous female characters, straddling popular culture and the margins. This led him to take an interest in the majorette and more precisely in the contrast between the ideal, smooth and formatted model proposed by American productions and the recycling of this image on a local and individual scale. Thus decontextualized and deterritorialized, these emanations of the American myth reveal flaws, singularities, the sensitive: of the human.
IMAGO-GO is a dance piece about majorettes, their characteristics and dance language instilled in the body of the performers, then sustained in conjunction with their individual subjectivities. Together they roam through a new hybrid and honest story, as if a night of revenge.
